Lound Water Ski Club hosts the Lound Open each year in August.

This years competition takes place on the 5th, 6th and 7th August 2011.

Competition Information

Lound Open weekend – 5^th-7^th August

 

Preparations are in hand for this year’s Lound Open multi-round tournament at Lound Waterski Club, North Notts. The event is open to all divisions.

 

On Friday 5^th August, there will be a two round slalom event starting at 5pm. Then on Saturday and Sunday, the main event will comprise three rounds of slalom, two trick rounds and three jump rounds. There will be cash prizes up for grabs in the jump and slalom competitions (see below) and junior skiers will again compete for the Lound Open Junior Trophy.

 

The proposed schedule of events is as follows:

 

Friday 5^th August

 

2 round slalom competition starting at 5pm prompt. No starting order for first round. There may be a limited amount of practice available before the event starts.

 

Saturday 6^th August

 

3 rounds of slalom starting at 8.30am

1 round of jump

Head to head cash prize competition

 

Saturday evening – HOG ROAST and social

 

Sunday 7^th August

 

2 rounds of tricks starting at 9am

2 rounds of jump

Prize presentation

 

The jump cash prizes will be awarded for the longest aggregate distance jumped over the three rounds. Ladies will be given a 30% advantage. The prizes will be

 

Longest aggregate distance jumped                               £250

Second longest                                                                  £150

Third longest                                                                  £100

Fourth longest                                                                  £50

 

For the slalom head to head competition, the winners of each division over the three slalom rounds on Saturday will be invited to take part and compete for the following cash prizes:

 

First place                                                                                          £200

Second place                                                                        £100

Third place                                                                        £50

 

The competition rules will be available prior to the event.

 

The schedule of events may be subject to change depending on weather conditions

 

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the weekend including a Hog Roast on the Saturday evening. Some space for camping/caravans is available but limited so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like some space reserving.
